We are concerned about helping Hurting People.
People all around us are in need. You don’t have to look far to find someone
who is hungry or needing clothing, especially children because they grow out
of their clothes so fast.
We need your help to get this work done.
The needs have out grown us and many times we are not able to meet them.
Donations come in but they also go out, quickly.
Please consider the needs of others.
We are in need of financial donations to buy gas and oil to keep the
trucks rolling. We have to buy water, food, blankets, underclothes and the
necessary things of life to hand out to the needy, the homeless and those who
are in dire situations like storm damage, etc.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated and we will gladly send you tax
receipt.
People are needy all year round not just on holidays. Many are hungry
every day and their main goal each day is where can I find something to eat
today. One man said, “I don’t have time to look for a job because I have to
spend all my time going from one hand out line to the next.
Someone said: “Why don’t they get a job? All they want is a free meal!”
Number one: You have to have a physical address for anyone to hire
you. Living under a bridge does not qualify.
Number two: For an interview, you need to have a clean face. Where
can one wash up?
Most of the fast food restaurants don’t allow them to use the rest room.
They will chase them off and threaten to call the police if they come back.
Number three: You must have clean clothes for an interview.
Sometimes they may get a part-time job but what is that when the rent for
a small room cost so much. If someone offers you a place, you have to have a
deposit to turn the utilities on and the utility companies want good references
plus a month in advance.
In the mean time they go hungry and thirsty.
On Sunday, Brother Charles went out to feed and clothe the homeless but
there were so many that he ran out of food bags. The others said they were
thankful just to receive water and clothes.
These things are happening in America.
There should be enough loving people in America to at least give out
water to those who are thirsty.
We need help for these people.
Anyone can become homeless in a flash. We have had people come into
the store that had nothing left because their home burned and many times
burning up their pets inside. They are facing mountains and they have no
place to go.
If we have a disaster again, like happened in Tuscaloosa and Louisiana,
we are not prepared.
